Solo sailors give isolation advice, records are attempted and boat sales boom in the savvy news ⛵

Hello Friends,

How are you? This may seem an odd question with so many of us locked down or facing plentiful restrictions amidst the new years’ round of COVID rules. Wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, we hope you’re safe and well.

Who else is dream boat hunting?

I don’t know about you guys but being somewhat lacking in exploration and adventures over these past months I’ve found myself trawling Yacht Brokerage listings, drooling over Amel Maramu’s, whilst dreaming of taking off and sailing into the turquoise blue waters of a COVID-free sunset!

Well, it turns out I’m not alone. According to the New Zealand Marine Association boat sales (since June) have doubled, compared with those in the same period of 2019. Enrolment in marine courses has also seen an increase.
